Friends of Albella Boys Home

Albella is home to over 100 boys in one of the most remote parts of the world. They are economic orphans often having only one parent, who cannot afford to feed and clothe them. Albella feeds them and provides clothes and accommodation. Crucially they are provided all they need to get the school education that will deliver a much brighter future. They stay with us for as long as they remain in full-time education – some even complete full time further and higher education. Albella also provides education to about 15 non resident girls.

Could you sponsor a child?
Each resident costs us at least £400 including gift aid each year. This pays for the boy’s accommodation, food, clothes, school fees, two sets of uniform, books, stationery, shoes, socks, tie, tiny pocket money, birthday and Christmas presents.
Our work with girls
We provide rice and pocket money for the families of the girls we support, school books and uniforms so they can stay in education rather than be put to work.
